The massive nonfactual media coverage about LGBTs strengthened negative public opinion about them, which has affected the community’s ability to access HIV and SRHR services. To address this issue, the Ardhanary Institute decided to develop a strategy to sensitize the media on LGBT issues. As a result the media has produced factual news coverage about LGBT people in 10 media channels. In addition, a collaborative network was established between the media and BtG partners in 13 provinces.
